Creating a mobile app for children with AIDS in sub-Saharan Africa
M&C Saatchi World Services, on behalf of the International HIV and AIDS Alliance, wanted to create a digital product to help those afflicted with AIDS on the African continent.
Their aim was to help children better adhere to their anti-retroviral medication. They had never launched a digital product in Africa before, so understanding cultural nuance was key.
Adherence to medication is crucial in prolonging the lifespan of those with AIDS, so a digital product was needed that balanced effective design with an engaging user experience.
